Pakistan has shown pronounced year-over-year growth in outbound student mobility—nearly 8,000 Pakistani nationals studied in the U.S. during the 2018–2019 academic year. This overview of Pakistan’s education system will include a demonstration of the methodology WES uses to authenticate credentials from this emerging South Asian source country.

Sophia has worked as a Knowledge Analyst at WES since 2018. She previously interned in the United Nations System where she focused on issues pertaining to the protection of civilians, international human rights law, and regional security. She holds a bachelor’s degree in cultural and communication studies and writing from Ithaca College and a master’s degree in Asian studies from Georgetown University. At WES, Sophia specializes in the education systems of East and South Asia.
