Cindy earned a master's degree in international education policy from Harvard Graduate School of Education, and a bachelor’s degree in Asian studies and economics from Williams College. She conducts research for WES on international higher education trends and student mobility.

Deepti Mani

Research Associate, WES

Deepti earned a master’s degree in economics from Bangalore University, India and a bachelor’s degree with specialization in international economics from Lucknow University, India. She has six years of experience in education research and her focus areas and expertise include education policy and innovation, formal and informal learning environments, the role of technology in development, and indicator monitoring frameworks. Deepti has authored and presented several research articles related to international economics with a focus on developing economies in Asia. Deepti is fluent in Hindi.

LISA MERITZ

Director of Communications, Office of International Affairs at Temple University

Lisa Meritz is the director of communications for the Office of International Affairs at Temple University, where she helped the university spark a nationwide #YouAreWelcomeHere marketing and social media campaign directed towards international students. She leads a team of marketers responsible for recruiting international students and for promoting the university’s internationalization both internally and externally. Before joining Temple University, Lisa was a marketer for the University of Pennsylvania, CIGNA, Dow Jones, and Springhouse Corporation. She has written many essays and articles for a number of publications including Philadelphia Stories, The Christian Science Monitor, The Philadelphia Inquirer, Philadelphia Daily News, San Francisco Chronicle, Huffington Post and more.
