About the event:

Diversifying and strengthening the workforce hinges greatly on employers’ ability to recognize and retain global talent. While internationally trained immigrants and refugees possess unique skillsets, these often go underutilized in the workplace, due to barriers to adequate employment, such as credential recognition and lack of U.S. work experience.

In this webinar, we will discuss best practices for tapping the potential of internationally trained immigrants and creating career options that optimize their unique skills. Our guest presenters will share their experience both helping advance careers and hiring immigrant engineers in Des Moines, Iowa.

In addition, we will present our e-guide Career Pathways in Engineering, a comprehensive tool for skilled immigrants featuring step-by-step pathways to top engineering careers, licensing and certification requirements, and supplementary state-specific resources.
