In recent years, there has been an uptick in the number of UK students traveling abroad for higher education, with the U.S. proving particularly attractive. According to the Institute of International Education (IIE), the number of UK students in the US has increased every year since the 2007/08 academic year (a 28% total increase) culminating in 10,743 students in 2014/15. This webinar will feature an overview of the UK system of education, grading scales, and degree requirements, as well as demonstrate the WES methodology when authenticating academic credentials from the UK.

Daniel Swann

Daniel specializes in the analysis and evaluation of credentials from the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland. He has worked as a translator and transcriber with Transborder Educators, and spent a year teaching English in France on a British Council mobility program. Daniel has a bachelor’s degree in modern languages from University of Newcastle upon Tyne. He grew up in the north east of England and speaks French and Spanish.
